As a design studio, our fundamental aim has become the need to leave a positive design legacy when renovating and restoring modern and historic spaces. Each material and resource we specify is researched so we can understand its impact on human and ecological health when in production, in use, and once it has been discarded.
A fully bespoke residential design which transformed an apartment into a holistic home-work environment for content filming for our client.
This project is the embodiment of our Circular Design principles–a holistic work/life space created using non-toxic, natural resources throughout to create a nourishing and grounding space.
At SGD-CA we have taken this further, fusing our aesthetic and philosophy with circular principles to design a home-retreat for our clients who wish to actively invest in pursuing health and contentment. Circular design’s simple aim is to build structures that make people healthier, a principle that originated in the construction of many of the world’s leading modern hospitals.
